Participant’s Responsibilities for the Block Watch program
· Learning neighbor’s names and being able to recognize them and their vehicles without any hesitation.
· Keeping Suspicious Activity/Crime Report and Calling Tree sheets in an easily accessible place and update them with any new information.
· Attend Block Watch meetings.
· Keeping an eye on neighbor’s homes and reporting any suspicious activities to local law enforcement and neighbors.
· Writing down a description of any suspicious-looking persons or vehicles and report them to local law enforcement agency.
· Teaching children crime prevention and about respecting law enforcement.
· Be a good witness to a crime.
· Notifying the Block Watch Captain and neighbors that they are going away so the home can be watched while gone.
